Product Overview

Solid spruce and mahogany delivers a great combination of a bright and clear sound matched with a warm and mature tone. The A45 features a ebony fingerboard, gold machineheads and is finished in high-gloss.

The A45 is crafted with the traditional spanish heel neck joint which is considered the most highly developed neck joint in guitar construction. It is significantly more complex than a glued neck, but the sonic benefits are worth the effort. When building a guitar with a Spanish neck, neck and headblock are carved from one piece of wood.

Our Handcrafted guitars are a fusion of the best quality materials, designs and manufacturing techniques by our highly skilled and passionate Spanish-trained luthiers. Our luthiers use traditional handcrafting methods to produce guitars with exceptional tone, clarity and expression.

"The specs of this guitar are all top of the line: all solid construction, ebony skunk stripe, bridge and fretboard, bone nut and saddle, spruce top, mahogony sides and back, double inlay on the tie block. But in addition, the construction is perfect. The tuners are smooth and solid. These are the kinds of things you can't know until you get it in your hands, but this one exceeds expectations. There's no veneer on the headstock, which is fine by me. Maybe that helps keep the cost down. It's quite heavy due to the ebony I guess and the neck has a flat region on the back - again different, but very playable. The satin finish looks much better in person than online. The sound is ever so slightly closed, but lovely and true and I'm sure it will gradually open over time, as spruce does. The grain looks to be fairly tight, could be tighter, but still very good. For the price, I don't think there's any competition at all. "
